E71 Keyboard Shortcuts

The Nokia E71 has a fantastic keyboard. Whats the use of a keyboard without keyboard shortcuts. Here is a compilation of the keyboard shortcuts I have found:

Home screen


Left selection key + function key – Lock and unlock the keypad.
Call key – Open the call log.
0 Press and hold – Open your home page in the Web browser.
1 Press and hold – Call your voicemail box.
Number key (2- 9) – Speed dial
* Press and hold – Toggle bluetooth on and off
# Press and hold – Toggle between General and Silent profiles.
Home Press and hold – List of active applications. Press Backspace to close application.

General


Shift + Left/Right – Select text.
Fn + Chr + C – Copy.
Fn + Chr + V – Paste.
Ctrl + Up – Page up.
Ctrl + Down – Page down.
Press and hold key – Number or Symbol.

Web


* – Zoom in the page.
# – Zoom out the page.
2 – Open the search dialog.
5 – View the active pages.
8 – View the page overview.
9 – Open the dialog for entering a new web address.
0 – Open the bookmarks folder.
Backspace – Close current window.

Image viewer


Call key – Send the image.
0 – Zoom out.
5 – Zoom in.
7 – Zoom in. Press twice for the fullscreen size.
4 – Scroll left in the zoomed image.
6 – Scroll right in the zoomed image.
2 – Scroll up in the zoomed image.
8 – Scroll down in the zoomed image.
3 – Rotate clockwise.
1 – Rotate counterclockwise.
* – Switch between the full screen size and normal view.

Camera

T – Focus.

Nokia Email

a – Reply All
b – Go to the bottom
c – Compose a new email message
d – Delete
e – Accept a meeting invitation
f – Forward
g – Tentatively accept a meeting invitation
h – Display the online help
i – Expand or collapse the list
j – Up
k – Down
l – Flag the list
m – Move a message to a folder
n – Displays the next message in the list
o – Open an email message
p – Display the previous message in the list
q – Folder options
r – Reply to an email message
s – Search
t – Top
u – Mark a message as either read or unread depending the current status
v – Decline a meeting invitation
w – Sort options
x – Unassigned
y – Display the folder list.
z – Synchronize

Maps

Shift – Zoom in.
Backspace – Zoom out.
Space – Current position.
